Thought for 2017 – "A Time To Grow Up"

Welcome!  Thank you for visiting the “Women’s Ministry” of Wampee Baptist Church.

All ladies are invited to join us at our WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) meetings.  We have two age groups.  The WOM (Women On Missions) is for the ladies and the GA’s (Girls in Action)  is for the younger girls in grades 1-6.  The GA’s meet every Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM during the evening Bible study hour.  The WOM meet the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

Our Goal

It is the Goal of all members of the WMU to be radically involved with carrying out the Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:19,20.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  AMEN

Our Objectives

The WMU objectives are to pray for missions, engage in mission action and witnessing, to learn about missions, support missions, develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle and participate in the work of the church.

Our Involvement

While we must learn about missions, it is vital that we help to supply the needs of those struggling while sharing the love of Jesus.  Some of the continuing missions we participate in regularly WMU are:

  • Feeding the lifeguards that come to our area every year from all around the world
  • Sharing the love of Jesus to those behind bars by preparing health kits for the prisons
  • The Sun Burn Unit. which offers a drink of cold water and sun tan lotion to beech goers in the name of our Lord
  • Mission trips to areas that are in need and helping to feed the hungry

Our Mission

The mission of all WMU members are to inform and inspire the Christina woman to influence her world for Christ.  Here is were our faith and practice meet.

Our Watch Word

“As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard. (Acts 4:20)

You are all invited to join us on any or all of our activities.  The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few!
