Thought for 2017 – "A Time To Grow Up"

Relationships with other people are a part of every person’s life.  No one lives this life all alone.  And yet each of these relationships have a different meaning or depth of intimacy.  For example, we have casual relationships with friends, co-workers and even the clerk at the local grocery store.  Possibly, your a member of an organization or club.  You may even be regularly attending a church, and there find that you have relationships with friends that are a little stronger.  Then there are those closer relationships with our extended families, mothers, fathers and siblings.  If you have a spouse and children, then you are aware that those relationships are even stronger and deeper and more intimate.  Your love and commitment to these special people drive you to sacrifice all you have to build them up and support them for as long as you live.  Yet when we talk about “Your Greatest Relationship”, none of these qualify for even a consideration.  Your greatest relationship will only begin when you enter into a relationship with Jesus.  Jesus will satisfy every longing, feeling of emptiness and quench that never ending thirst for something better.   “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”   These were the words Jesus cried out to the crowd in John 7:37-38.  Jesus, the Living Water, crying out an offer for all who were spiritually thirsty, to come and drink.  A relationship with Jesus will change your entire life.  The places you desire to go will change, what you do with your resources will change, how you treat others will change and even how you are able to love all the people we mentioned above will change when you enter a personal relationship with Jesus.  Your WHOLE life here will change.  But greater still, your destination after this life will change.  All from being in a proper relationship with Jesus.  A relationship that is still available for you even now.  The offer Jesus made to “come to Me and drink” still stands good today.  So please, take just a few minutes to watch the following video of Pastor Tyler Caines sharing what the Bible says about “Your Greatest Relationship Ever!”
